In a pretty flooded beauty market, it takes something pretty fancy to capture my attention but Lottie London did it on first look. Lottie London is a brand that I’m technically ‘too old’ for, but I’m not one who believes in age limits in the beauty world. So if I like it, I like it. It’s aimed at the teen-mid 20’s bracket of girls. But as someone who may be just in the 30’s (but with a mental age of 14… ) it’s right up my street. It’s colourful with a very Tumblr-style looking font and designs. I just love the font of the ‘Lottie’ branding!
The range is launching into Superdrug and is all nails and tools. Including… a selection of around 60 nail colours. I don’t have them here to show you but they’re really nicely packaged with the same sort of striped design lid as the pot in the picture. The pot is one of those nail polish remover gadgets – sitting on my desk as I type and I used it to remove polish yesterday. Does a decent job, not the best I’ve ever tried but not bad.
Then the tools – there’s brushes all priced around the £5 mark and a set for £20. All rainbow colours. The stand out ones to me were the light purple one shown here and a darker purple with a chunky handled one. Good quality, especially for the price and most importantly you just know they will look good in blog photos!
Then there’s tweezers, compact mirrors, nail files, lash curlers and nail wraps (with nail art designs to help do negative space manicures – not just same-old ones) plus there are some golden tattoo transfers that I think will be basically everywhere this year.
All in all, a fun brand – I look forward to trying the nail shades at some point. There was a gorgeous bright turquoise in there that looked pretty special.
What do you think of this new launch range – am a sucker for pretty packaging and Lottie London has it in spades! It launches properly in the Spring into Superdrug.
