The best beauty delivery ever?

The best beauty delivery ever?

So, this is a little bit of a long story. But way back in Autumn last year I was approached and asked if I wanted to take part in a bit of a ‘pass the parcel’ style beauty campaign. The idea being that a group of beauty bloggers all had a budget of £200 to spend on items (provided by the brand) to send on to another fellow beauty blogger. That person would then also do the same and send on to another – and so on. It sounded like a nice idea and pre-Christmas feeling festive I said yes.

The campaign was around the service ‘In Post’ which is a new posting service designed to make posting and collection really nice and convenient. As someone who is constantly baffled by the fact no matter how technology develops, posting stuff always seems to be a pain – this appeals to me. The service offers two convenience led options. One, that your packages get collected from you in the way a courier would. Two, that your items to be delivered are left in security lockers at various locations across the country so you can stop by when suits you and collect. It is a new service, so it did unfortunately have a few teething problems right around the time we were due to be sending – so I didn’t actually get to try it out. But I’m all for convenience so think it’s a good idea and I’m sure once they get up and running a bit smoother then will work well – especially as they increase the number of locker locations around central London.

That all being said, the teething issues didn’t stop our beauty pass-the-parcel going on. I sent a package to the lovely Sascha from Beauty Geek and I hope she liked the items I picked out for her. For me, I had the fab Adrienne from The Sunday Girl. And can I just say – the girl did good! I haven’t squealed at a delivery like this in quite some time. It’s a corker. She was also very lovely and threw in some lovely extras like samples of perfumes and travel sizes of gorgeous skincare brands. But let’s take a look at all the fab stuff that arrived as part of the #passthebeauty pass-the-parcel…

Nails Inc Baker Street Gel Polish – Baker Street is my all time favourite polish, so for this to be in there in gel form is awesome.  LOVE this too much. Dior Star Foundation – I’ve wanted to try this since it launched, so really excited to give it a whirl. I have a bit of a soft spot for Dior so this is really exciting to try as have heard good things. Lancome Gift Set – Lancome Mascaras are pretty much the best in my opinion. So one of those alongside their fab make-up remover and a mini black liner, awesome. A gorgeous bright red shade of lipstick from GOSH. A sheer with a hint of shimmer Dior Addict lip colour called ‘Rock and Roll’… again, love Dior and love this shade! A really pretty palette from Guerlain – with shades that are just my thing. Taupe/brown/pinky shades – very day to day wearable. The famous MAC lipliner shade of ‘Soar’ – a classic and goes with so many nude colours. Deborah Lippman ‘Happy Birthday’ glitter polish – a rainbow of glitter just waiting to explode on to my nails. A yummy EOS Lip Balm…. The fab Gimme Brow from Benefit that’s a daily staple of mine. A creamy cheek glow from Kevin Aucoin – this shade is amazing, will feature in a post very soon. Then there’s the cream blush cheek palette from Makeup Revolution – I haven’t actually tried anything from Makeup Revolution before so really interested to give this a go – I do love a cheek product.

PHEW. Quite a lot of gorgeous beauty bits to chat about!? An absolutely massive than you to Adrienne for picking out such amazing things, absolutely love it all – thank you so much! In fact just writing this and looking at the photo makes me think I may just need to pull out the bright blue awesomeness that is Baker Street again… love that colour too much.

Thank you so much Adrienne!

Let me know which of these you would like to see reviewed or featured in a look and will get right on that!

Cool! Looking forward to seeing what you think of Le Crayon Khol – it was my first luxury eyeliner and I still think it’s the best non waterproof eyeliner I have used!
