For the first time in a while I got really excited when I saw the names on this box – Birchbox Habitat – a collaboration bringing together two of my favourite things. Beauty and home stuff?! Plus all in a box with rainbow stripes?! Well, Birchbox were certainly talking my language on this one. But what’s inside is always the big question…
Ok, so first things first – the box is gorgeous. Love the stripes. Definitely one I’ll be keeping and finding another use for. Perhaps to store my reciepts – to add a little colour to my least favourite admin chore.
In my box I found the following:
Philip Kingsley Smooth Cream – a brand a love, but a product I’ve not tried. I am trying to make more effort with my hair this month so could be ideal timing to give this a whirl.
Benefit Roller Lash – I reviewed this one HERE and it’s handy to have a mini version for my bag. This month subscribers had the chance to pick their favourite of the trio of Benefit Mascaras (Bad Gal, They’re Real and Roller Lash) so they could customise the box. A nice idea and would be great if Birchbox can keep up that sort of personalisation long term!
Janjira Face Scrub – A brand I’ve not heard of so interested to give this a go.
Tan Organic Self Tan Oil – I really like this brand and have always gotten along with the tanning oil so hopefully this will be a chance for more to try the brand. Although I suspect those who don’t tan may not be too overjoyed to see this – as tanning is quite an opinion splitter. Can totally recommend this one though – a no-fail tan if ever I tried one!
Catherine Malandrino Perfume Sample – Another brand I’ve not heard of before! Am I losing my ‘beauty junkie’ touch!? Does smell nice though – quite sweet and floral.
All in all, an exciting box although the packaging and the tanning oil are my top two picks! The whole idea behind the Birchbox Habitat Collaboration is the ‘Do try it at home’ idea – try new things…
