Spring Beauty Inspiration – Tesco Beauty Tablet

Spring arrived with somewhat of a bang this week, where a lot of London was left feeling happy/confused when we seemingly went from Winter to Summer in a blink of an eye with temperatures hitting Summer-figures. It was dreamy and means it’s perfect time to add a bit of a pop of colour to get a bit of Spring Beauty Inspiration. This look is inspired by the Spring Beauty at Tesco Magazine App that is full of a whole host of Spring Beauty Inspiration including the ‘Spring Blooms’ feature which includes a selection of perfectly Spring ready inspiration ideas. The Tesco Beauty App is available on iPad and Android – just visit the google app store or iTunes and search for Tesco Beauty.

My favourite look from the Spring edition is the ‘Totally Tropical’ look – bronzed skin, copper eyes and a bright pop of colour for the lips, you can see a snapshot below. The main thing I love about the app is that the pictures are so gorgeous, you can’t not read it and not feel inspired…and you might even see a little familiar face in there too! It’s full of ideas from nail shades to try to full looks – plus some tips and tricks from beauty experts (and me…!). Basically, if you love beauty then you definitely need to download it – oh, and it’s free. Always a bonus!

For the look I took the following steps:

1. Skin – I used BD Trade Secrets Vital Skin Long Wear Foundation in the shade Natural Skin 2. Applied using my trusty buffing brush (my preferred method for almost all liquid foundation). This creates a base that’s evened out but not too matte as in Spring you want a bit of a natural feeling glow. I’d recommend mixing foundation with a touch of moisturiser if you have dry skin.

2. Eyes – A trio of bronzing shades from the BD Trade Secrets range – Roma and Cafe Late – and Max Factor Pale Pebble. Pale Pebble is a great all over the lid/brightening shade then I added Cafe Late all over the lid to the crease for a wash of bronze. Then used a touch of Roma along the lash line on top and bottom for extra definition and a softer take on liner. The BD Secrets Shadows are really silky smooth by the way and Cafe Late is without a doubt a new favourite – I do love my bronze/golden shades so recommend this one. Plus mascara which is the Barry M Showgirl which is good if you like to build your mascara.

3. Cheeks – An old favourite that I love for the colour and the familiar scent too! Love the Maxi Delight Bronzer from Bourjois as the huge size compact makes it great for swirl-and-go bronzer for face and body too. It’s got just a soft touch of shimmer to add a glow – using this for this look reminded me how much I love bronzing and don’t do it enough.

4. Lips – The finishing touch is the super bright colour pop lips. This shade is actually another I love already it’s 902 ‘Fuchsia Flash’ from the Maybelline Colorsenstational Lipstick range. It’s an absolute gem if you’re not afraid of bright lips – if you like shades like Candy Yum Yum from MAC but want a cheaper and more hydrating alternative then you need to check this colour out. It’s every inch as bright as it looks and not drying at all hydrating.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAI am a sucker for bronze eyes and colour pop lips – It’s a go-to look of mine in Summer months so I love that the Tesco Beauty App has re-inspired me to try this look out again now the sunshine is back! Long may the warmer and sunny weather last!

Make sure you download the app (available on android and iTunes) to check out the other Bloom-inspired looks and maybe try one yourself? Next on my must-try list is the pastel look that’s also featured. Also, don’t forget you can still book in for #TescoBeautySessions with me every week – http://tes.co/U0CGi6
