So, you may have heard on the old beauty grapevine that Rimmel are launching a new line of lipsticks (I showed a little peek of them on my instagram) which I’ll be having a better look at on the blog in the next week or so. But first, I thought it would be a good time to take a look at the new shades of Rimmel Exaggerate Lip Liners that have been re-done to match the new lipstick collection so you can find the perfect match for whatever your lipstick of choice is.
The lip liners are all creamy and twist-up style – they’re so creamy that I think they would work a treat as all over colour just as much as a liner. Only downside being that they are quite creamy so whilst they do line the lips they don’t necessarily stay as perfectly in place as other dryer/pencil liners can do.
Each of the colours I have here are shown swatched and labelled below. Each lipliner shade has a matching lipstick shade – which makes finding the perfect pairing completely easy and no guesswork needed.
Left to right: 024 Red Diva, 064 Obsession, 102 Peachy Beachy, 101 Call Me Crazy, 105 Under My Spell, 103 Pink A Punch, 101 You’re All Mine.
I love that the shades match each lipstick perfectly – and how creamy they are. Plus they don’t need a sharpener as they twist up. Only downside to these is that they’re very soft and creamy – which is great for comfort but if you are prone to lipstick bleeding then there’s a bit of a risk they won’t quite stay as ‘set’ as some of the more waxy ones.
