ASOS SS 2016 Beauty & Wishlist

I’m in a serious shopping mode right now. So when a lovely little package of bits from the ASOS SS 2016 offering arrived I didn’t take much persuading to head over to my favourite online shopping destination and have a browse at what else there is new in store. So I thought I’d show the bits and bobs that are highlights, along with sharing a little wish list of items that are currently sitting in my basket waiting to hit ‘head to checkout’. IMG_1246

Of the bits and bobs that arrived as part of the press kit for the ASOS SS 2016 info – one of the products I jumped straight into using is the The Works Light Time Skin Plumper. I’ve always had a bit of a thing for This Works in general, and the idea of a product that gives plump skin to help ‘smooth sleep lines and shake off the signs of fatigue’. Erm, sold?! Over the last few years I’ve noticed those tell-tale pillow lines that can linger after sleeping – especially given I have a habit of snoozing on my front so pretty much always have one side or the other of my face on the pillow. Not ideal for my face/skin no…but it’s how I’m comfy so there we go. This has now become one of my first morning products – I use it straight out of the shower after a quick morning cleanse. Not only does it feel like a nice serum that gives my skin a quick hit of moisture, it also smells really nice – a sort of herbal/flowery sort of smell. Perfect for morning!

Along with that, some of the other exciting bits include Starskin face masks.  I first tried was back in December I think when it arrived as part of the Glossy Box x Really Ree collaboration. Then I got to try the hydration one and really impressed so I’m excited to give this eye patch ones a go – I love any sort of eye treatment so have high hopes!

Of course along with the newer brands there’s also a lot of the staple brands on the site – Benefit is always a favourite, Ciate, Rimmel, Bourjois, Revlon, St Tropez… the list is endless. It’s so easy to forget that ASOS is way more than just clothes and accessories. I often find myself having a speedy browse of the sale section and adding a little beauty something in before I make an order (the Illamasqua nail set is the latest time this happened – I’ve wanted the two raindrops shades for ages, so who could say no to £26 for that plus two others?!)

Another brand that’s well worth a look if you love the idea of doing something creative with your nails, but don’t either have time or want the hassle or mess… Juku Nails. They do some amazing nail wraps – especially if you like the negative space style manicure that’s very ‘on trend’ right now. I’ve also spotted they have some mini nail triangles if you want to add a little graphic element to your nails too. I’m also REALLY excited to see one of my favourite body brands on site not – Ameliorate which is an absolute wonder product if you have dry skin or suffer from keratosis pilaris. The bathing powder is SO good for dry winter skin too.

To sum up I pulled together a few products that caught my eye whilst having a browse below. A little wish list to share with you – that you can click right through to the site from for more info!
