The Jo Malone Cologne Intense range are admittedly not for everyone, by very name and nature they’re more intense or heady scents than the usual Jo Malone Cologne range. As with all fragrance, it will largely down to personal taste. I love an oud-type of scent, which previously a lot of the Intense scents have been based on. However, the last couple of launches in the intense family have been more categorised under the ‘very sexy man’ scent grouping. It’s a thing, promise.

Whilst the latest launch is the Jo Malone Bronze Wood & Leather Cologne Intense, there’s also a new candle version of last year’s launch – Myrrh & Tonka. Again, very much in the sexy man family of scents. I would say that as it’s my husbands current favourite.

The new Bronze Wood & Leather though smells like a sexy man who can pull off wearing a smoking jacket. Not in a Hugh-Hefner type of style. More like a suave James-Bond type of way? I can definitely imagine that Daniel Craig would smell like this. Or someone else equally mature and handsome and with gentlemanly qualities.

Probably over imagining it. But I would definitely describe as a very mature and grown up scent. It’s heady but not overpowering. I’d rather get a waft of this on the tube than a face full of something that smells like a sports deodorant or other generic male aftershave.

If you have a man in your life to buy for then this would be a real treat for sure and will 100% make them feel a bit smooth and suave.
