The last minute Christmas gift guide

So technically this was due to be a bath and body focussed gift guide and it was due to go live last week. But a couple of curve balls have been thrown this week and much like my own Christmas shopping, I’m a little on the late side. So when I looked at all the products I had already chosen for this guide I realised there was a whole collection of gorgeous gift sets that work perfectly for last minute options for the ‘I have no idea what to get…’ person. All in pretty packaging, that’s also all (very importantly) square so easy to wrap too.

L’Occitane Gift Set (various gift sets & custom option – from £9.50 up – L’Occitane.co.uk)

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, L’Occitane are one of my all time favourite go-to options for ‘never fail’ gifts. I know both my parents have always been chuffed to bits when I’ve given them gifts from here (my mum loves the hand creams and the Verbena range & my dad has actually REQUESTED specific products from the men’s range – as someone who isn’t quite the grooming guru this is a big deal). Every year they do gift set boxes you can choose pre-made ones or in the stand alone stores you can make up your own custom ones. Both great options and I have to say the trio of full sized products in this gift is fantastic (this is a custom trio).

I’d also really recommend looking at the mum/baby range – the fragrance of the baby range is just gorgeous and one I use on both Ella and myself. Highly recommend for a new mum gift!

Rituals The Ritual of Tsuru Gift Set (£45.90 John Lewis**)

Rituals is a beautiful brand to gift at any time of the year, but this festive season they have launched a gorgeously fragranced collection called The Ritual of Tsuru. It has a creamy and slightly masculine touch to it and it’s just beautiful. The gift set is a great last minute/I don’t know what to buy option because it has a lovely mix of bath/body and home with a lovely gold candle (290g large size – if you haven’t tried Rituals Candles you’re missing out, lovely scents and great value compared to other pricy options on the market) plus the famous Rituals foaming shower gel in the Tsuru scent plus a body cream and a bath bomb.

All of course beautifully packaged with the box which has been cleverly designed to look gorgeous and not be overly branded so can be used again. A beauty gift with added storage? SOLD.

Ren Atlantic Kelp Anti-Fatigue Gift Set (£55 Space NK**)

As I type this I am pretty much holding my eyes open with matchsticks, so this may be on my ‘self gift’ list. The REN Atlantic Kelp range is all about using kelp and magnesium to fight fatigue. Which I can say for one, I could do with anything that helps me fight that. Especially this time of year. I’ve heard this range works really well for combating jet lag so would make a lovely gift for someone who travels a lot.

The gift set contains three products, the 300ml body wash, 100ml toning body oil and a 156ml version of the travel scrub. REN as a brand have made a commitment to be waste free by 2021 and the packaging is all a nod toward this. The plastic bottles are made from 20% recycled ocean plastic (100% recycled overall) plus there’s a little reusable fabric bag in the snazzy print from the outside of the box. One of my favourite things about the REN gift range this year is the packaging – love the zebra print design.

Dr Hauschka Softening Body Care Set (£26 Dr Hauschka)

I feel like I’ve been really won over by the Dr Hauschka gift sets this year and this one is no exception. It contains a trio of body oils, all of which sound dreamy for different situations. I love to choose products to match my mood so I think that’s why this one caught my eye. The one that definitely sounds like it’s going to be my firm favourite is the Moon Lavender Calming Body Oil. I mean, on name alone is sounds dreamy but can also confirm it smells amazing too. A trio of products like this is a perfect gift for someone you’re not sure what to gift as it’s connected to moods/situations and not personal taste. Plus it’s fantastic value at £26 for the whole set.

Sol De Janeiro Carnival Dreams Gift Set (£36 SpaceNK**)

Ok so carnival may feel way more Summer than Winter, but that’s one of the joys of this brand. Sol De Janeiro is a brand that makes everyday feel like Summer. I don’t know a single person who has tried this product and not loved it, even if just for the fragrance alone. Honestly, it smells SO SO GOOD. SO good in fact that they have captured the scent in a candle so you can make your whole house smell as good as your Brazillian Bum Bum will after using this. Also, added humour points if you gift this to your gran or perhaps an uptight aunty – as you get to enjoy the slightly confused/potentially low key shocked look as they read the name of the product out. Not that it’s anywhere near the most shocking you can gift someone… but this is a range that smells AMAZING and captures Summer in the middle of Winter. What is not to like about that?

The set contains four products, the body wash, a lip butter (one of the best lip balm I’ve tried this year), a Coco Cabana cream (my favourite from the brand as the texture is just beautiful) and of course the famous Brazilian Bum Bum Cream (75ml).

Christmas gift guide

So there we have it. I hope for all your sakes you’re further ahead on your Christmas shopping than I am! But at least I’ve shared a few ideas for you to hopefully get you going if you’re having a mind blank for what to get people in these last few days before Christmas.
