Dermalogica Clean Start

The Dermalogica Clean Start range was announced back in July and is launched nationally (UK) from September- I couldn’t make the launch but I was sent a few samples to test out for the blog.

The range is pretty extensive, including everything from face wash, shine-free moisturiser, to facial spritz and lip balm. Designed to treat oily, problem skin and containing salicylic acid the range is targeted at teenagers (those teens with a Dermalogica budget- lucky sods) rather than mid-twenties types like me. But despite this I have really enjoyed using the range.

My favorite product is the Clean Start Wash Off Cleanser, although I don’t tend to have problem, spotty skin but I do tend to suffer with dry, sometimes flaky skin around my nose area. It might sound weird that a cleanser designed for oily skin has helped this, but the salicylic acid helps to clear away dead skin cells, which has meant this has totally cleared up for me. If you suffer from something like this, or blackheads or oily skin- then a cleanser containing salicylic acid can really help.

Overall I really like this foaming cleanser and plan to buy my own when the sample runs out.

    Hi guys,

Clean Start will be available in the UK in September. However it may take a little longer to be online. Clean Start cannot be sold online with any other brand including Dermalogica.

At John and Ginger we are going to launch another website just for the clean start range, where you will be able to receive free online consultations, samples and advice.
I will post all the updates and latest news on our blog.
I hope you don’t mind me putting a link here for your readers. Can exchange links? Your blog is great, up to date and very informative.

The packaging is really cool- the cleanser has a sort-of ‘quick release’ button, that pops the lid open- I’m easily amused, but thought this was quite fun!

Totally wish I had had this stuff when I was a teen! I will be testing it though even though i am past the target audience – I still get spots and greasy skin so I want to give it a go. When I can get hold of some samples I will be posting stuff on my blog:

Dermalogica is one of my favorite beauty brands and I regularly use their clean start kit.
