London Fashion Week: Revlon at Sophia Webster

Now this is what I’m talking about – Sophia Webster is what the fun side of fashion is all about. Seriously, if these shoes don’t make you want to regress to being a child and playing dress up, then I don’t know what’ wrong with you. Yes, the hair is theatrical, the clothes pretty much non-existent and the shoes are totally not ones to go for a long walk in. But man are they fun. These are shoes designed for girls who don’t need the tube – taxis or chauffeurs are the way forward for Sophia Webster girls!

Best thing about such a fun and playful shoes and accessories collection is that the hair, make-up and most of all nails can dial up the fun factor and throw out all the ‘classic’ rules, and replace them with stick of butterflies or lady birds…

The nails were the real beauty statement of this show – all inspired by the collection. With striped patterns topped with lady bugs, shimmer turquoise with butterflies applied to look like they have delicately landed on the nail, to monochrome webbed patterns that are striking and simple at the same time. Then there’s the cute cloud print nails that are the perfect accessory for the matching cloud print heels. There were so many designs in the collection that I don’t even know if I captured them all – Jenny Longworth has some serious nail skills!

The beauty look was simple, glowy cheeks, enhanced freckles for a fresh and young look and then the big brows. Similar to the Whistles show in that it’s very young, very fresh and natural. Very wearable and all round flattering – I definitely want to get my hands on the Revlon Cream Blushers having seen them used so gorgeously over LFW.

I’m also very much in love with the gorgeous turquoise striped shoes from the Sophia Webster collection… and trying to work out if I could somehow pull them off as a pair of wedding shoes….?! Pop of turquoise peeking out under the white dress maybe?!

One other thing about this show that I loved – the models were amazing! So much fun – you turned the camera on them and they really turned that ‘model thing’ on. They were fab and so perfect for the collection.

Love the nail art, it is so gorgeous and girly! Obviously the butterflies and stuff aren’t wearable but still, w-o-w!
