Burgers – the food dream. Almost like steak, but naturally served with chips and socially acceptible to eat with your hands. What’s not to like about this? Well, London clearly loves it as snazzy burger places are almost as frequently spotted as Starbucks now. Now, I do have a bit of a fond spot for Byron (blame the mac and cheese). But always up to try another burger experience – and so headed to Honest Burger – King’s Cross to experience all the meaty goodness they have to offer. Well, not all of it – that would be a bit fatty of me.

I went for the ‘Special’ burger and special it really was. A very special combination of a tandoori spiced burger, with halloumi (YES) and a vegetable samosa, cucumber riata. All that good stuff, served in a bun with the side of the Honest Burger’s signature fries.
The fries are something that I think will split opinion (based on mine and Ollie’s split opinion). Personally, I loved them – crispy, salty delicious. But Ollie wasn’t a fan – he felt they were a bit too ‘bitty’ to enjoy them as much – too many crispy bitty bits for him. Each to their own – for me, a chip is always a good thing. Well as long as it’s food wise and not my nails.
The Special Burger I had really was awesomely special – I don’t actually know if it’s one that’s always on the menu or if it changes. I may just have to head back to Honest Burger to find out (and maybe try something else perhaps?!).
Honest Burger was great, but it really does take quite the burger to trump Byron as my favourite Burger scoffing destination. Do you have a favourite place to head to for a burger indulgence?? Let me know, can never have too many burger-eating options on the cards.
More info: Honest Burgers – there’s a few branches across the city. I went to the King’s Cross one.
Sounds so yummy, tandoori flavours rock on burgers!
I love both honest and byron burger – I think they’re both on par! xx
Just reading my own post again is giving me major burger cravings. Byron is definitely a favourite but the Special burger gives Byron a run for it’s money!
