Current Everyday Make Up

Ok, so a slight fib – as it’s not *every day* make-up. But more like my current everyday make up (when I’m going out and about) including a few new and some older favourites. This face combination has been my latest go-to for something that’s a happy medium between ‘done’ and ‘glowy and natural’ whilst also being long lasting so minimal need for mirror checks and touch ups during the day…

So what’s on my face?

Starting with the base of a good moisturiser – I’ve been using the latest from Indeed labs ‘Fillume’ * as a good hydrating and plumping base. I feel like this makes a good base for my often dehydrated skin as it’s creamy and hydrating and leaves my skin feeling nicely smooth before applying the base. Foundation wise, I’ve been opting for a touch of the Dior Star Foundation * lately (thanks to the delivery I talked about HERE). It’s been a foundation I’ve wanted to try for ages as do have a total soft spot for Dior – however,  I had heard mixed things over people loving it or finding it doesn’t work for them. I find that for me, as long as I moisturise really well before I apply this works well for a long lasting but radiant base. I use one and a bit pumps and apply with my trusty Real Techniques Buffing Brush * for a flawless finish. For concealer I’ve returned to an old favourite of Erase Paste from Benefit * – using a blending (technically for eyes…) brush from Real Techniques again to apply for a softly blended under eye area. Rather than risk going too heavy.

For eyes I’ve totally fallen for the By Terry Ombre Blackstar * Eye Shadow Crayon in ’13 Brown Perfection’. It really is a lovely creamy brown/bronze shadow that makes a great base that’s really long lasting. Then I’ve been adding a tiny touch of the new Charlotte Tilbury Eyes To Mesmerise Cream Shadow Pots* over it in the shade ‘Bette Davis Eyes’ – a golden colour that’s just gorgeous. FYI – the Eyes To Mesmerise are just beautiful, so many gorgeous flattering colours. I already have the Norma Jean one on my wishlist for when they launch later in the year. For lashes I’ve been sticking with my Estee Lauder combo of the Little Black Primer * (which I’m especially loving for the lower lashes) and Sumptuous Extreme Mascara * and a touch of Benefit Gimme Brow * through the brows – I’ve been having these waxed and tinted by Benefit for a couple of months now and loving the results as I’m perfectly happy to just comb them into place with minimal filling needed (though they’re just about due a re-do right now…).

For finishing touches I’ve been loving my Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette opting for the pinky/plum shade that I think is called ‘Mood Exposure’, and then adding a touch of glow with the Dreamy Glow Highlighter* that’s coming in the Summer from the Charlotte Tilbury and Norman Parkinson Collection. A slick of the Clarins Instant Light Lip Balm Perfector ** in Coral and I’m good to go…

For someone who likes to keep on the natural side… that’s an awful lot of product?! Still – it’s a winning combo for a long lasting face and something that stays put without looking too heavy. In my opinion at least! Spot any of your own daily favourites or things you want to pick up when they launch…?!
