Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever {Beauty}

I feel like I’m very much loving all things perfume related at the moment. It’s actually really easy to put my finger on what it is about a perfume (or scent in general – thinking scented candles etc) it’s that it’s so subjective and it’s an instant hit. If you love a fragrance all you need is one spritz and there – happy. The Marc Jacobs Daisy family are the definition of perfume that makes you happy. Not to say everyone loves it, I’m sure they don’t. But the whole design, scent and everything feels like it’s created with a sort of light happiness involved. The latest member of the Marc Jacobs Daisy Family is Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever. A sort of dialed-up version of the Daisy Dream that launched last year.

If there’s one thing the Marc Jacobs Daisy family just nails it’s the display-worthy bottles. They really are pretty – I mean of course the original Daisy family lids are anything but practical if you want to think storage/keeping dust free… but still. Very pretty. The new Daisy Dream family delivers all the pretty but in a slightly simplified version of the daisy bottle. The exploding spray of Daisy flowers are replaced with a neat selection on the lid and bottle. Giving a touch more practical and grown up to the bottle. But just as ready to display.

Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever sort of indicates it’s dialed-up scent option with the darker blue bottle before you even smell it. Where Daisy Dream is pale blur and white, this is a deeper blue all over with a touch of silver. It’s an enhanced Eau de Parfum version of Daisy Dream. With a mix of blackberry (a key note) pear and grapefruit. Create a mix of sweetness plus some fresh fruitiness.

It’s described as having top notes of Blackberry, Pear and Grapefruit. Heart notes of Wisteria, Jasmine and Litchie and Base notes of White Woods. Blackberry, grapefruit and jasmine are all notes that apparently my nose likes. Although generally when they’re the lead – not always when they’re all blended together. Somehow you may thing it doesn’t work but it does – it really is a slightly more intense, more fruity version of Daisy Dream. So if you adore Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream then you’re very likely to enjoy this. The notes I personally pick out the strongest are the blackberry and the grapefruit.

If maybe you prefer more powdery/musk type scents then this fresh and fruity option won’t be for you. Same if you like your perfumes on the floral side of life. But if you like fresh, fruity and quite typically ‘young’ perfumes then you will definitely enjoy Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream Forever.
