I should probably change the name of my blog to Monty Junkie in London as I am officially obsessed with my dog. I am 100% dog lady now I think. I have major guilt if I leave her at home for too long and there’s really nothing as lovely as the welcome she gives when I get home. Her little face cheers me up like no other. So the idea of spoiling her is basically a given now – when PawPost got in touch and offered to send her (yes, Monty is a her… with a boy’s name) a box of goodies I couldn’t say no. I love the idea of these ‘glossy box’ for dogs type of ideas. According to Monty’s face.. she’s also a fan.
The whole concept is a box filled with various treats and toys for your dog – or cat – that you can have delivered on a one-off or subscription schedule. Each box you buy also delivers a chunk of the profit to helping cats and dogs in need.
This box I received for Monty included two boxes of ‘Alfie & Moll’s’ treats, Beautiful Joe’s Ethical Dog Treats, A toy parrot (a particular favourite of Monty’s) plus some eco friendly poop bags. Oh yes, it’s all glamour being a dog owner don’t you know!
Paw Post also do stand alone dog treat boxes – which they were also kind enough to send me as at the time these were sent we we’re also looking after Molly, my in-law’s dog (who I love to pieces) – and I didn’t want her to be left out of all the treating fun. She’s a border collie so much bigger than Monty so suits different toys/treats in general. Although they don’t mind sharing at all. So I got to check out the standard monthly box plus the ‘treat box’.
Honestly, any dog lover will get just as much fun out of seeing their dog get all excited over a box of treats and toys. Maybe this is what being a parent feels like?! I jest. But seriously. It’s a good way to throw in a mix of treats to your dogs routine – and if your dog is like mine and will do ANYTHING for food – then treats are something you like to have stockpiled!
I am a big fan of these dog-treat delivery services. I now just need to work out which is my favourite as there are certainly a few out there – much like there are with beauty boxes now – each with their own perks. But for me the combination of value, a good selection of healthy treats and toys and the added bonus of a portion of profit going to looking after dogs & cats. PawPost is right on the money with this offering.
