Smashbox Full Exposure Palette has been causing a fair bit of buzz in the beauty blogging world – and I can see why. Simple, but effective it brings together a collection of warm and cool neutrals in matte and shimmer shades. Essentially, it creates a ‘best of’ of all the other nude palettes on the market in a way that’s just really straight forward. The top row is all shimmer, with warm tones on the left and cooler ones on the right. The bottom row then mirrors this, but with all matte shades – warm on the left, cool on the right.
I also have to mention the brush that is included with the palette – no more of these tacky rubbish brushes that no-one actually uses. The brush in this is really decent quality – with a mix of natural and artificial fibres to help work with either of the textures to pick up, hold and apply the powders. The palette also comes with a travel sized Full Exposure Mascara too – so your whole look is pretty much covered with this one palette. Oh, and a decent sized mirror so you wont have to squint and only fit one eye at the time into the mirror if you’re using this somewhere away from home.
If perhaps you don’t have any of the other nude palettes on the market yet (the three Urban Decay Naked ones, the Clarins one, the Clinique one) then this one is your best bet of the lot – sure, the others have things going for them that make them worth a buy in different ways. But as far as a ‘one palette fits all’ then this is definitely your best bet.
In terms of favourite shades in the palette, for once I actually really like all of them – but my favourites have to be the two taupe, cool toned mattes. Although I do also like the peachy matte shade too – and the taupe shimmer. Overall, it’s the matte shades in this that have me won over – which is surprising as it’s normally the shimmers that catch my eye first. But just look at that matte black, impressive pigmentation or what?!

Great review. I was tempted to get one of the Naked palettes as my first palette, but this has swayed me! xxx

It’s such a pretty palette, although for me the shades are a bit too similar to UD Naked I, and I*m not sure I can justify buying almost the same again LOL – as lovely as it is Xx

WOW! I hadn’t heard about this palette yet, but I’m definitely going to buy it! It seems to be the perfect nude palette with a mix of matte and glittery colors, and Smashbox is generally better quality than UD too! Thanks so much for this post, I’d been looking for a new palette to get 🙂
This looks gorgeous and your photos and swatches really make the palette look irresistible!

Those shimmer shades are so pretty. I’ve done a couple of reviews on Smashbox products but have never tried their eyeshadows. One for the shopping list!

It’s great to see a palette with a good matte to glitter ratio. I’m going to buy this for the mattes alone, great pigmentation!
