Flat hair is the bane of my life. I am constantly on the hunt for anything from shampoos, stylers and conditioners to supplements or styling tools that might promise me volume that lasts – or even permanently thicker hair. Until I discover a way to alter my own genetic and give myself the hair of Blake Lively then these – Ojon Volume Advance and Dry Recovery – are the sort of products and wonder things that I shall be reaching for on a daily basis.
Now, they’re not both just for Volume – that’s just the Volume Advance Spray (for fine, limp, flat hair apparently…*raises hand*) and the other is the Dry Recovery – which is a fab combination of volumising AND conditioning. It’s a foam (nice and light) that packs a moisture punch and helps give a bit of lightweight hold to the hair.
The Ojon Volume Advance is a pretty simple to use spray – I simply spritz all over damp hair before styling to give it a bit of oomph. The Ojon Dry Recovery is more like a lighter version of a mousse – I find one or two pumps of the foam is absolutely plenty. Any more and the volumising benefits are lost by over use of product weighing it down. But this is a real star for me – as it can be rare to find something for both fine/limp/flat hair AND for dry/dehydrated hair. So for this to do both in one is what really catches my attention. That being said, I do find the Volume Advance better for overall volume – where Dry Recovery is good for a bit of a combo – but isn’t as ‘wow’ as the Volume Advance for actual ‘oomph’.
I have another Ojon Volume product waiting in the wings for a review – if you have the dry/flat hair dilemma then watch out for it – as it’s a good’un.
Ojon * is available from Boots
