Diptyque Florabellio

Diptyque is a brand that it’s perhaps a little easy to assume is mainly candles. But it’s much more to the brand than gorgeous home fragrances – including some gorgeous fragrances. The latest being Diptyque Florabellio – a fruity fresh scent that’s basically perfect for Spring/Summer.

Before I talk about the fragrance itself, I think it’s worth a mention of the pretty packaging. I am a sucker for Diptyque – the monochrome squoval signature label that’s found across everything from candles to skincare (yes, they do skincare too – award winning skincare no less). Diptyque packaging is the thing Pinterest dreams are made of.

But, as much as my shallow brain thinks otherwise, it’s not just about the packaging. It’s what is inside the bottle that counts. This fragrance is a tricky one to describe as it manages to combine two of my favourite fragrances that I don’t think often come together, but really should as it creates a pretty fabulous mix.

The notes are gorgeously fruity apple blossom, then there’s a wave of seaside air and apparently fennel too (not sure I can pick this one up). With a blend of Osmanthus blossom and sesame in there too. To me it smells like a blend of apple and sea air. So fresh and fruity really sums it up. I would love it if they did a candle version of this… would smell amazing as a home scent.

It’s the sort of fragrance you just want to put on display as well as spritz all over. Lovely for Spring and Summer.

This fragrance sounds perfect for Summer!! I am ashamed to say I’ve never tried Diptyque. Must go spray a tester next time I’m in Selfridges!

I love Diptyque bottles and packaging too, there’s something very vintage with their design and branding. This sounds like an interesting scent. I have Eau Duelle but I prefer that for Autumn/ Winter. x
