Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment

What’s this?! Another scalp related product that I can’t help but give mention to… who says I don’t like to keep things glam on A Beauty Junkie in London…. mmmm, dry scalp talk! What fun!

Slight sarcasm aside, I do like to talk about the other side of beauty – the slightly less glossy and glamorous side but equally as important. You can have all the mascara and blushers in the world but if you have a scaly/itchy/dry scalp you’re never going to feel as good and as confident as you could. So fo that reason, I bring you Moroccanoil Dry Scalp Treatment!

The turquoise bottle of Moroccanoil has pretty much established cult status in the beauty world – recognisable from 20 paces and a familiar addition to the hair routine of many a woman. Personally, I’ve tried the original but didn’t find that it blew me away as my hair is very fine and I need to use the smallest amount or else it weighs my fine hair down – although I believe there’s a fine hair version, I just haven’t tried so can’t comment on that.

But this is another matter – the bottle comes with a pipette dispenser makes it really easy to apply right in at the roots. Not an easy thing to do with most scalp masks or products. – already winning points from me. The product is an oil, as you would expect and you squeeze it into your scalp, give it a massage in and leave it for a few mins to absorb and do it’s thing. Then wash your hair as usual, and condition.

The reason I want to give this a little rave is that on just one use I saw immediate impressive results. Anything that delivers results on one use is fab by me! A new essential for me and my consistently dry scalp.

  9. This sounds really interesting but I’m wondering if there is any drugstore alternatives?! I have used things from this brand before but I’ve realised I can live without them and don’t want to pay up for this if I can get something less pricey and just as effective! Great post! Thanks!
